Celebrating a Successful Participation at #UMD2023 in Sevilla, Spain
The European Commission’s Urban Mobility Days 2023 held in sunny Sevilla, Spain, concluded with great success, and Taxis 4 Smart Mobility was proud to be part of this important event discussing the future of EU transport.
On October 6th, Gregor Beiner, Chairperson of T4SM, took the stage as a speaker in the session titled “How to Integrate Shared-Mobility Solutions in the Urban Mobility Ecosystem”. The panel discussion, held on the third day of the event, emphasized the vital role of shared mobility solutions, the necessity for local and national level regulation to address specific challenges, and highlighted the pivotal role taxis play in enhancing mobility for a diverse range of passengers. Co-panelists included Eirini Zafeiratou (Bolt – Vice-President Global Public Policy & Regulation), François Hoehlinger (Troopy – Deputy CEO), and Thomas Avanzata (UITP – Spokesperson of the European Union Committee) as moderator. It was a session filled with insightful exchanges and productive insights!

T4SM actively participated in various panels and activities, ranging from discussions on Funding and Financing Urban Mobility to analysis of the Common European Mobility Data Space and Urban Vehicles Access Regulation. Additionally, T4SM contributed to an in-person Expert Group meeting.
From October 4th to 6th, 2023, the Urban Mobility Days united politicians, local authorities, industry experts, and urban transport practitioners. The event, organized by the European Commission, aimed to foster collaboration, facilitate knowledge-sharing, and engage in constructive discussions to shape a sustainable, innovative, and equitable future for urban mobility across Europe. Given that 2023 is the European Year of Skills, this year’s Urban Mobility Days placed a specific emphasis on transport skills.
The opportunity to connect with industry colleagues and exchange innovative ideas on enhancing the sustainability and efficiency of urban mobility was a great and stimulating opportunity for our coalition. T4SM takes pride in representing the taxi industry at this significant event for European transport.
